Deonce' Scott

Deonce’ Scott, Sr. is the Founder and President of See, Believe, Achieve NFP. Born and raised on the West Side of Chicago, he attended Chicago Public Schools and graduated from Lane Technical High School on the city’s North Side.
While navigating some of the common pitfalls of underserved communities, Deonce’ entered the military and served in the United States Air Force. After returning home, he enrolled at Malcolm X College and received an AAS degree in Mortuary Science after graduating at the top of his class.
While serving in the funeral industry, he furthered his education, receiving a B.S. degree in Health Care Leadership from National Louis University. Deonce’ eventually returned to his alma mater Malcolm X College as an instructor in the Mortuary Science Program. While working diligently as an instructor, he also earned a MBA degree from Concordia University.
Deonce’ continues to operate as a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer while continuing to educate and mentor. One of Deonces’ favorite quotes which have been instrumental in his journey is

Asia Harris is a Published Poet, Screenwriter, Playwright, and a Music Composer. She has been employed with the federal government for over 5 years. Harris has been a small business owner since 2012 of Cleaning Wit Class LLC. She is also an active SCORE Chicago mentor volunteer.

Kashena Hayes is an Educator, and Special Needs expert, employed with Chicago Public Schools over a decade. She is also an Entrepreneur/Small Business Owner. 

William Jackson

William Jackson is a Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer, and owner of WW Jackson Funeral Home. William is also a community activist and member of the Malcolm X College Advisory Board. In addition, William serves as Treasurer of First Corinthian Baptist Church on Chicago’s South Side.

Sydney J. Morris

Sydney J. Morris is a passionate educator and has been employed by Chicago Public Schools (CPS) for over 20 years.
Currently, Miss Morris is serving as the Chief of Staff to the Chief Education Officer at CPS.
Also, Sydney has been a loyal member of Mars Hill Baptist Church Since 2004 where she presently serves on the Welcome Team.  In addition, she is a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. where she is instrumental in mentoring young ladies and providing college scholarships for inner-city youth.

Jesse Pettway is a devoted Husband, Father of 11, and full-time City of Chicago Firefighter & Paramedic. In addition, Jesse is a Licensed Funeral Director, and the creator of an interactive app/volunteer group for Students. Jesse’s motto is “failing isn’t an option”!
