Born and raised on the West Side of Chicago, he attended Chicago Public Schools and graduated from Lane Technical High School on the city’s North Side. Sydney J. Morris is a passionate educator and has been employed by Chicago Public Schools (CPS) for over 20 years.
Currently, Miss Morris is serving as the Chief of Staff to the Chief Education Officer at CPS.
Also, Sydney has been a loyal member of Mars Hill Baptist Church Since 2004 where she presently serves on the Welcome Team.  In addition, she is a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. where she is instrumental in mentoring young ladies and providing college scholarships for inner-city youth.
