Deonce’ Scott, Sr. is a Visionary. Born and raised on the West Side of Chicago, he attended Chicago Public Schools and graduated from Lane Technical High School on the city’s North Side.

While navigating some of the common pitfalls of underserved communities, Deonce’ entered the military and served in the United States Air Force. After returning home, he enrolled at Malcolm X College and received an AAS degree in Mortuary Science after graduating at the top of his class.

While serving in the funeral industry, he furthered his education, receiving a B.S. degree in Health Care Leadership from National Louis University. Deonce’ eventually returned to his alma mater Malcolm X College as an instructor in the Mortuary Science Program. While working diligently as an instructor, he also earned an MBA degree from Concordia University.

Deonce’ continues to operate as a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer, while continuing to educate and mentor. One of Deonces’ favorite quotes which have been instrumental in his journey is
